Annie Sloan developed her now famous decorative paint, Chalk Paint®, in 1990 and choose the name “Chalk Paint” because of its very matte—almost chalky—finish. Chalk Paint® was created for use on furniture, floors and walls, drawing on a lifetime of research and experience in working with paint and color. It adheres to most surfaces and creates gorgeous results quickly and easily. Use it for a textured finish, a distressed finish or a smooth contemporary finish. Chalk Paint® is a non-toxic, water-based paint that is lead-free, EG-free, odour-free and has very low (VOCs). Chalk Paint® sticks to just about any surface (wood, concrete, metal, matte plastic, varnished or painted surfaces, etc.) with no priming or sanding required. Use it’s companion product; Soft Wax for a durable finish for your interior furniture.
